321 Stainless steel is Ni-Cr-Ti type austenitic stainless steel, has the wear-resisting corrosion resistance, the high temperature resistance, the creep resistance and so on, uses in the manufacture wear-resisting acid container and the wear-resisting equipment lining, the conveying pipeline.


321 stainless steel in which Ti as a stabilizing element exists, but it is also a hot and strong steel, in the high-temperature aspect than 316L is much better. 321 stainless steel in different concentrations, different temperatures of organic acids and inorganic acids, especially in the oxidizing medium with good wear and corrosion resistance, used to manufacture wear-resistant acid containers and wear-resistant equipment lining and conveying pipelines.

321 Stainless steel is NI-CR-TI austenitic stainless steel, its performance and 304 very similar, but because of the addition of metal titanium, so that it has a better resistance to grain boundary corrosion and high temperature strength. Due to the addition of metal titanium, it effectively controls the formation of chromium carbide.

Specification and Microstructure of Heat Treatment

Specification for heat Treatment: 1 Solid solution 920~1150℃ fast cold; 2 in accordance with the requirements of the party can be stabilized treatment, heat treatment temperature is 850~930℃, but must be specified in the contract. 3 Solid solution temperature can not exceed 1066 ℃, more than, must carry on stabilization treatment, to prevent the precipitation of chromium.

Surface State

As will be mentioned later, in order to meet the aesthetic requirements of architects, a variety of different commercial surface processing has been developed. 1. Heat Treatment Process

The solution temperature of the stainless steel tube is 1080-1100 ℃, and the cooling mode is water-cooled or air-cooled. Cold machining Intermediate annealing temperature is more than 850-970 ℃, heat preservation for a certain time after water-cooled. The microstructure of the steel after solid solution treatment is austenite tissue, and sometimes a few ferrite bodies exist.

2. Welding

The stainless steel tube inhibits the carbide precipitation during welding and can be welded by a common method. 3. Cold Forming Performance

4. Application
